Srinagar, Feb 01 (KNO): Provincial Vice President Kashmir Youth National Conference, Ahsan Pardesi on Friday said that NC Vice President Omar Abdullah's statement regarding repealing PSA is ‘much-needed step’, which will help in building trust in youth and will be a big Confidence Building Measure (CBM). Pardesi termed Omar’s statement as ‘a big announcement’, which he said needs political acumen and guts. “Omar Abdullah's endeavour to reach out to youth of Kashmir is appreciable and has always been his priority. It was during Omar regime that quantum of sentence in PSA was reduced and it was only he who started EDI among other initiatives to help youth build their own careers apart from government jobs,” he said. Omar Abdullah is best suited to cater to the aspirations of youth and help them bridge a gap between youth and establishment, said Ahsan. Stating that state needs more youth friendly initiatives and National Conference under leadership of Omar Abdullah is committed to look after the aspirations of youth, Ahsan urged the youth to come forward and strengthen the hands of Omar to bring back the glory of the state.
